What are the symptoms of lactose intolerance?

i have recently moved to egypt and it seems eating locally produced white cheese and fresh milk leaves me vomitting , upset stomach, itchy rashes, stomach cramps and fainting, i never had a problem in australia with dairy products and cant see why i do now???
