Question for the Catholics?

my religion is based on the catholic religion but I altered a few details so it makes sense to me. I believe that those people, even though they didn't hear about jesus or anything still go to heaven or hell depending on their actions. if they were a good person in their life then yeah they'd still go to heaven. same thing applies to the child, as long as they didn't like, kill a guy or something like that I think they still get in.
